On April 21, we were partners of the Agricultural University, Plovdiv and the Faculty of Plant Protection and Agroecology, the Academy of Music, Dance and Visual Arts "Prof. Asen Diamandiev" - Plovdiv, the Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water - Plovdiv, the Society of Animalists, Florists and Scientific Illustrators (DAFNI), and LifeWatch ERIC in an event on the premises of the university.
Within the framework of the event, we presented the exhibition "The Great Return - 2" of DAFNI and the "Living Exhibition" of Green Balkans. The guests also got acquainted with the Green Balkans Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Centre and its birds - the Common Buzzard Misho and the Common Kestrel Vladko. They learned more about our work for the restoration of extinct species, such as our project "Life for Lesser Kestrel" LIFE19 NAT/BG/001017, implemented with the financial support of the EU LIFE programme. We participated in the Botanikal Art Plain - air by DAFNI and we were the audience of a "green" fashion show organized by the Academy of Music, Dance and Visual Arts "Prof. Asen Diamandiev" - Plovdiv.
On April 22, the "Living Exhibition" was part of the festival for youth creativity "Young Blue Earth" of the Regional Museum of Natural History - Plovdiv. During the festival, various workshops, educational games and many surprises were organised, and the "Life for Lesser Kestrel" project team presented to young curious people life-sized models of rare and protected bird species that occur in the Green Belt on the territory of Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey - Lesser Kestrel, Imperial Eagle, Red-breasted Goose, amongst others.
We are glad that among us were also our tireless helpers - the students of Trakia University!
