Officially it was announced the beginnig of a new project from Green Balkans

During the passed days it was announced the beginning of a new project of Green Balkans “Life for Lesser Kestrel” LIFE19 NAT/BG/001017. The project presented at the course of the celebration, dedicated to the 25 years anniversary since the establishment of the Wildlife Rescue Centre in Stara Zagora, and it is funded by Programm LIFE of the European Commission.

The celebration was visted by more than 250 guests from around the country, representatives from the state and municipal administration such as Dr. Stefka Zdravkova, Regional Governor of Haskovo Region and Mr. Krasimir Chervilov – Deputy Regional Governor of Stara Zagora Region, representatives of the Ministry of Environment and Water and scientific institutions represented by Dr. Todor Stoyanchev, Deputy Dean of the Veterinary-medical Faculty at Trakia University in Stara Zagora, NGO’s, veterinaries and farmers, companies from different business fields, environment students, veterinary students and other natural sciences.

All of them got aquainted with the new project team, its basic directions of its work, more important goals to achieve in the five years frame of realization too. It was emphasized on the important role played by the Wildlife Rescue Centre in Stara Zagora of Green Balkans, as well as the steps they would take to upgrade what was achieved until the present moment by the organization when they fulfilled the previous project to reintroduce the species in the country.
