More than 90 students and their teachers from four fourth grades of "Vasil Levski" Secondary School Karlovo were guests of the Green Balkans Wildlife Rescue Center.
We tried to make their visit not only interesting and fun, but also useful, and for the curious kids to learn more about the world of wildlife.
Along with all the other species that can be seen at the Center, we paid special attention to the Lesser Kestrels.
The region of Karlovo is one of the historical places for the species, selected by the Green Balkans' "Life for the Lesser Kestrel" LIFE19 NAT/BG/001017 project team, funded by the EU LIFE program for the restoration of the Lesser Kestrel in Bulgaria.
In addition to the stories, the close encounter with the Lesser Kestrels inhabiting the Center and the information materials about the species, each of the children received a T-shirt for colouring.
Thanks to the teachers who helped the children to colour and for the wonderful photos they sent us!
