Birds from the Rescue Center found their new home in Stara Zagora Zoo

Jan. 15, 2024
True to the idea that good news should be shared, even though the one in question here is from the end of the last year, we decided to tell you about it.

It is a long-standing partnership that has gained more and more momentum in recent years. That of the Rescue Center for Wild Animals of Green Balkans and Stara Zagora Zoo.

Almost at the end of last year, the zoo became home to 23 birds that underwent a course of treatment at the Rescue Center.

Among them are an Eagle-owl, 3 white storks, a Little egret, a Great cormorant, 11 Mallards and 6 Lesser kestrels, as part of the project "Life for Lesser kestrel" LIFE19 NAT/BG/001017.

They have all undergone treatment here and cannot be released into the wild. That is why our team looked for a home for them, and the colleagues from Stara Zagora Zoo were so kind to accept and accommodate them.

We are glad that we have a long-standing and reliable partner in Stara Zagora Zoo!
