Feb. 23, 2024
On 20th and 21st of February Green Balkans team of the project took part of the Agricultural Exhibition Agra, which was held in Plovdiv.

The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food focuses on the different segments of the agriculture – innovations, science, services, technologies, and products.

Our prticipation was made possible by our partnеrs from the Trakia University in Stara Zagora.

During the two days we presented the work of the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and our activities within two of the projects we are working on.

In the first day we have presented the Life for Falcons project, in which Green Balkans and the other partners work towards the securing of the fragile population of the Saker falcon in Bulgaria. We introduced the species to the visitors, the threats to f its survival in the wild and the most recent sesults of our efforts.

The parcitipation of Agra 2024 was very useful for our team. We met new supporters and exchanged ideas and solutions for current problems in the field of the environmental protection and the returning of the rare birds species in Bulgaria.

Our faithful assistant in the meetings with the Agra visitors was the common buzzard Harry, who lives in the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
