The 'Life for Lesser Kestrel' LIFE19 NAT/BG/001017 project provides an interesting opportunity aimed at students!
More students from Plovdiv University learned about it when visiting the Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Centre as part of their summer internship!
'Nature' Academy is a five-day training for students, including theory and practice, with a focus on the reintroduction of extinct species in Bulgaria, and a focus on the activities of the 'Lesser Kestrel Recovery' LIFE 11 NAT/BG/360, 'Recovery of the Populations of Large European Vultures In Bulgaria' LIFE 14 NAT/BG/649 and 'Life for Lesser Kestrel' LIFE19 NAT/BG/001017 projects as well as several visits to places in Bulgaria related to these activities.
Every student can apply for participation, but the 'Life for Lesser Kestrel' LIFE19 NAT/BG/001017 project team will select eight of the most active participants in the presentations we hold and the volunteer initiatives we organize.
But that's not all! Our team will offer a special scholarship to four of the most active participants in the 'Nature' Academy for developing a diploma thesis or a scientific article. The topic of the development should communicate with the project activities, or other similar species, with possible accents on the reintroduction activities, the habitats, the food base, the human activity in the habitats of the species.
A very important condition is that the developments have been completed or are in the process of completion by the end of the project - 01/09/2025
