Feb. 02, 2024
Last week the team from Green Balkans was visited by the representatives from the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Zoo.
The colleagues came here for a three-day training, within which they visited the Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Centre, our work in the field, where together with our partners from Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds, as well as Stara Zagora Zoo work for the protection and strengthening the population of the Egyptian vulture.
During their visit here, our Turkish colleagues were interested in the reception, treatment, rehabilitation and methods of reintroduction of the species, that our team performs, habitat protection and work with local communities in and outside of protected areas, as well as on the territory of the Green Belt, covering lands on both sides of our border.
Species such as the Lesser Kestrel, the Imperial Eagle, various species of Vultures with an emphasis on the Egyptian vulture were discussed.
The team from Green Balkans are always happy to share their knowledge and skills with colleagues, as well as to exchange experience in their work and environmental causes.
