We are happy to share with you that over the past weekend the Green Balkans "Life for Lesser Kestrel" LIFE19 NAT/BG/001017 project team had the opportunity to present their activities at two eco-festivals.

One was the Periwinkle Festival, organized by our friends from the Strandzha Nature Park Directorate, whose 18th edition took place in the Strandzha village of Bordilovo.

During the two festival days, attended by nearly 3,000 people, we had the opportunity to tell about the Lesser Kestrel, our work on the restoration of this unique and useful humans species of falcon, as well as to present the "Live Exhibition". in the centre of which was again the Lesser Kestrel. The event was opened by the mayor of Tsarevo municipality, directorates of Natural Parks, museums, municipalities and two universities were also at the festival.

The other event we took part in was the White Stork Festival in the village of Belozem, in which we, the Green Balkans, are co-organizers.

Belozem was declared the Bulgarian village of the White Stork, and the festival was held for the fifteenth time in a row. In front of over 1000 guests and participants in the event, including dance and singing groups, exhibitors and official guests, in the person of Mrs Valeria Fol and the mayor of Rakovski, our team presented its work and managed to attract hundreds of new supporters.

Both participations are part of our events on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the LIFE Program and the NATURA 2000 day, which we will celebrate soon, at the end of May!

We thank the volunteers, and students at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Trakia University, who helped our team!
